About Philip Bogdan Art

My creative philosophy is grounded in the belief that art should be immersive and authentic. Every body of work is approached with care, with the aim to foster introspection and wonder.

I earned both my BFA and MFA degrees from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island.  

Taught Fine Art, Art History, The History of Photography, and Photography
at Gallaudet University's KDES and MSSD for twenty-eight years.

Since the early 1980's, I have worked on immersive, long-term photography projects and developed a painterly style that captures the movement of light and atmosphere. My experiences span solitary studio work and field projects, requiring patience, observation, and a deep connection to my surroundings.
